The next chapter in my book of wild fundraising ideas is here!

Having been inspired recently, I have decided to take part in my own walking themed event. 🚶🏼‍♂️👟

In August, I will be walking from my home in Burntwood to my 'second' home the SMH Group Stadium, home of the best team in Derbyshire, Chesterfield Football Club. 🏠➡️🏟️

The route I plan to take is over 50 miles and just over 4000ft of ascent. 📈

This time, I am encouraging all of my family and friends to get involved by joining me on a leg of my journey! If it's 2 miles or 10, dust off the trainers and let me know if you want to get involved! 🤝🚶🏼🚶🏼‍♂️🚶🏼‍♀️

This time around, I wanted to raise money for two charities, each representing a different reason tied to opposite ends of my walk: Ashgate Hospice & Macmillan Cancer Support. 💜💚

💜At the Chesterfield end, Ashgate Hospice has been wonderful to our family over the years, helping support numerous family members, who are unfortunately no longer with us.

Our family have been involved with them in a voluntary and paid capacity for a number of years. They have also provided wonderful support to our family, providing care and assistance to current family members and those who are, unfortunately, no longer with us.

💚At the Burntwood end, Macmillan, who were incredibly supportive to my partner's family when we received the unfortunate news of Grandad John's cancer diagnosis. A year on from his passing makes this much more of a poignant reason to do this.
