We're taking on the Edinburgh Kiltwalk for local families 💜🧡

This year, we're delighted to have the fantastic team at Envevo joining us in taking on the Edinburgh Kiltwalk to raise vital funds for Home-Start Renfrewshire and Inverclyde.

Together, we're walking to support local families with babies and young children who are facing challenges such as poverty, isolation, trauma and poor mental health. Every step we take is for families who need support, reassurance and someone to walk alongside them during difficult times.

At Home-Start Renfrewshire and Inverclyde, we believe every child deserves the best possible start in life. The earliest years are the foundation for lifelong health, wellbeing and opportunity, and when families receive the right support at the right time, the impact can last a lifetime.

Funds raised through our Kiltwalk challenge will help us provide:

💜 One-to-one home-visiting support from trained volunteers who offer practical and emotional support tailored to each family's needs.

🧡 Peer support groups and parenting programmes that reduce isolation, build confidence and strengthen relationships.

💜 Essential items and life-enhancing experiences such as food support, day trips, family activities and festive celebrations that create lasting memories and a sense of belonging.

One parent told us:

"Home-Start helped me feel human again. I was so isolated and overwhelmed, but they listened, supported me and gave me hope."

Early support isn't just helpful, it's transformative. It helps parents build confidence, strengthens family relationships and gives children the best possible start in life.
