Story

We thought it would be fun to approach local business leaders and entrepreneurs and ask if they would be prepared to be locked up for Maggie's at our Jail or Bail event to raise funds for Maggie’s Edinburgh.

The prisoners have until 3pm on Friday 27 August to fundraise their way to freedom using their mobile phones, laptops and social media channels.

To help raise bail (make a donation) in support of your favourite convict, please visit their fundraising page - see 'Fundraisers', on RHS of this page.

About Maggie’s

One in two people will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lifetime. It has never been more essential to have access to the support available at Maggie’s. For many people living in Edinburgh and Lothians, Maggie's is a beacon of hope, offering a unique programme of practical and psychological support, available free of charge to anyone affected by a diagnosis of cancer, including family and friends. Maggie’s is a homely, warm, welcoming place away from the clinical environment of the hospital where people with cancer find the hope, determination, and the resources they need to cope with one of the toughest challenges any of us is likely to have to face. We rely almost entirely on voluntary donations to provide our services. Thank you for supporting Jail or Bail. Your kindness and generosity will make an incredible difference to Maggie's Edinburgh.
