Raising money for Essex Dementia Care and Helen Rollason Cancer Charity

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

JR Revell Electrical Contractors are sponsors of Maldon Mud Race 2025 and six of our team have taken the opportunity to take part and raise money for local charities which are close to many families hearts. Helen Rollason Cancer Charity and Essex Dementia Care. All donations received will be split equally between the two charities. Thank you

We all know someone affected by cancer, Helen Rollason was born in Brentwood and a PE teacher before becoming a sports journalist, covering the Olympics in 1988 and the first female presenter of the BBC's sports programme Grandstand and presented on BBC News. She died at the age of 43 from colon cancer. Helen's cancer centres support clients with all all types of cancer at all stages, whether newly diagnosed or longer term. There is a Helen Rollason Centre at Hatfield Peverel.

Jamie's family has recently experienced the care and support from local Dementia Charities.

Dementia certainly changes peoples lives but with understanding, help and support it doesn't have to stop. Essex Dementia Care offers one2one care with their "memory companions" and stimulating environments within their activity centres based local to Maldon.
