Story
On Saturday 2nd July 2022 starting at 6am, a large group of us will be walking from Cambridge Station, 32 miles along the 'Fen Rivers Way' to Southery. To help raise funds for the 'East Anglian Air Ambulance'.
On 5th November 2021 (fireworks night) Judith Legge was in a devastating accident on the farm and suffered severe injuries. An East Anglian Air Ambulance helicopter and crew attended & airlifted Judith 30 miles to Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge. Judith was critically ill and after lifesaving treatment in intensive care, she has made good progress and came home on 7th February to continue her recovery. Words cannot say how grateful we are to the Air Ambulance or Addenbrookes for saving Judith.
The Air Ambulance is a charity, that doesn't receive any government funding. It costs £15million a year to run and each rescue costs £3,500. This is a critical service especially in rural areas with hospitals many slow roads away.
If you'd like to sponsor the group we would greatly appreciate it.
From everyone in the team walking Judith’s Journey Home.
