This May, Hannah and Alice are taking on the Hackney Half Marathon – 13.1 miles of running through Hackney’s streets. It’s going to be a challenge , but we're running for a cause that is close to the Kibre teams hearts, Furnishing Futures.

Furnishing Futures transforms empty social housing into fully furnished, beautifully designed homes for women and children escaping domestic abuse. Many survivors are rehoused with nothing – no flooring, no beds, no curtains and no basic furniture.

Furnishing Futures steps in to change that. Their team creates safe, healing, dignified homes using as-new furniture from the interiors industry that would otherwise go to waste – supporting both survivors and the planet.

We're aiming to raise £300, enough to cover the essential items a family needs when starting again after domestic abuse.
