Raising money for Little Princess Trust and Macmillan Cancer Support

Story

On Wednesday 5th Nov 2025 I’m doing Brave the Shave, just in time for winter 🥶

1. Since my pituitary tumour surgery, I’ve lost a lot of my hair already. This feels like choosing liberation rather than just watching it fall out.

2. I have a dear friend going through cancer and Macmillan have been incredible for her. She did Brave the Shave and it inspired me deeply. Her life has been unbelievably tough, yet she rarely complains and she is constantly checking in on me and Ocean, doing her own fundraisers for us. This is my time to support for her.

3. Hair grows back and grey hair can’t be donated so the clock is ticking to give it away It feels selfish keeping it when a child or young person could benefit from it far more than I need. Why hold onto something so temporary when it could bring comfort or confidence to someone who really needs it.

4. This year (I thought) I hadn’t been able to do a big physical fundraisers because of illness and surgery recovery. Brave the Shave feels like a way to still give back while my body continues to heal and rebuild. (I did actually do a walk for the pituitary Foundation that was epically hard with an non- functioning pituitary gland )
