Firstly, thank you for visiting my page!

I am finally attempting something I've always wanted to - that is to climb Kilimanjaro (5895m)... and I will be taking the 'alternative Lemosho' route up, 1st-8th March. I can't promise to make it to the summit but know I'll give it my best effort. I have funded the trip myself (so no donations go towards that) but would love to take the opportunity to raise some money for two organisations close to my heart - which in turn will help motivate me keep putting one foot in front of the other!

The two causes I would like to raise money for are:

1) Sheen Mount Primary School (https://www.sheenmount.richmond.sch.uk) - where Martha is in her final year ( and has been since Reception...can't dwell too much on that thought!) and Felix, Year 2. The school are currently raising money to revamp the bare and muddy school field by putting in an all-weather play area (MUGA Pitch) - which will make a huge difference to the useable area they will have for sport and play (and to parents' uniform washing challenges!).

2) Indigo Children's Fund (https://www.indigochildrensfund.com) - a small UK registered charity which supports underprivileged children around the world, with a focus on access to education, healthcare and safe accommodation. 100% of all funds raised are spent directly on projects - never, ever, on anything else. This year Indigo Children's Fund would like to work with locals on building 3 learning centres in rural Cambodia, where state access to and offering of education to children, is significantly lacking. One of these is in Popel and will be built in close proximity to the government school and supplement the education of about 175 children. The approximate cost for the entire project will be £40,000.
