This year 20 of the team from Leaders in Care & Fintelligent will be taking part in the AJ Bell Great Manchester Run to raise money for three fantastic charities; Derian House Children's Hospice, the Albert Kennedy Trust & the Terrance Higgins Trust.

We don’t just make money out of health and social care; we contribute to the knowledge and happiness of the full community. We invest in corporate social responsibility give back by fund raising, volunteering and holding events throughout the year.

Derian House provide respite and end-of-life care to more than 400 children and young people across the North West. They look after children and young people right up until their 26th birthday offering palliative care, respite stays, day care, holidays and end of life support. They continue to offer transition support for those young people who are leaving them up until their 28th birthday ensuring they have a well-established network of support in their community.

The Albert Kennedy Trust supports lgbtq+ young people aged 16-25 in the uk who are facing or experiencing homelessness or living in a hostile environment. Founded in 1989, akt was set up in Manchester by ally Cath Hall, a foster carer who found that many gay, lesbian and bisexual young people were not receiving the care and support they need and deserve.

The Terrence Higgins Trust are the largest voluntary sector provider of HIV and sexual health services in the UK, running services out of local centres across Great Britain. They do this by supporting people living with HIV and ensure their voices are heard, providing testing services for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, and helping the people using the services to achieve good sexual health. They also campaign on issues from relationships and sex education in schools to the proper funding of HIV services.

Any donations big or small will go a long way for all three of these charities and will make a difference to many lives.
