2026 PAWS Walk for Animals · 2 May 2026 ·

The Sauk County Humane Society is gearing up for our 27th Annual PAWS Walk for Animals, to be held on Saturday, May 2nd at the Maxwell Potter Conservancy/Liston Dog Park in Baraboo. We would love your help in making this year another success.

Story

We are raising funds for the May 2, 2026, Walk for Animals to support the Sauk County Humane Society, an OPEN ADMISSIONS shelter. Being OPEN ADMISSIONS means that Sauk County Humane Society (SCHS) never turns away any animal in need—no matter their age, condition, injuries, or behavior. No animal is left behind! This approach is rare but absolutely vital.

Sadly, a ridiculous number of vulnerable animals just disappear when other shelters turn them away. Nobody tracks the number of animals turned away, and nobody will ever know how heartbreaking their stories end. Although it is easier to just to forget about them, Sauk County Humane Society simply cannot look the other way. But being OPEN ADMISSIONS to ALL ANIMALS takes money.

Please help us help the animals and donate to our OPEN ADMISSIONS cause.

Thanks so much for your support—let’s make sure no animal gets left behind!
