Story
We clearly didn’t learn our lesson in 2022… so we’re doing it all over again 😅
Yes, we’re taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks (again!) — three big hills, one questionable decision, and a lot of snacks — all to raise money for something far more important than our aching legs.
This time, we’re raising funds for a shiny new bit of kit for the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Unit at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
Right now, the equipment used to monitor patients’ breathing — things like oxygen and carbon dioxide levels — has sadly given up the ghost. It’s broken, beyond repair, and about as useful as a chocolate teapot.
So, we’re on a mission to help replace it with a brand new TCOM+ Monitoring System (very fancy, very important, and significantly more reliable than us attempting a 24-mile hike).
This new equipment will:
• Provide real-time updates on patients’ breathing
• Help doctors spot problems earlier
• Support faster, better treatment decisions
In short: it will genuinely make a life-changing difference for people living with cystic fibrosis right here in Yorkshire.
Meanwhile, we’ll be:
• Climbing hills
• Questioning our life choices
• Powering through with sheer determination (and probably flapjacks)
Every donation — big or small — will help bring this vital equipment to the unit and improve care for patients who need it most.
So if you can spare a few pounds, we’d massively appreciate it. It’ll keep us going up those hills… and more importantly, it’ll help support incredible care back down here.
Thank you so much. 💙
