Raising money for Alder Hey Children's Charity

Since 2016 Liverpool Airport has supported Alder Hey, raising over £180,000 for a number of projects. In 2021, Liverpool Airport announced it was supporting the charity's Surgical Neonatal Appeal.

Story

Thank you for taking time to visit our JustGiving page.

On 3rd -12th November 2023, colleagues across various departments at the Airport will be embarking on what will be their biggest challenge yet, the Inca Trail Trek to Machu Picchu in Peru, which will be to help raise as much money as we can towards the Airports chosen charity Alder Hey.

One of the top 10 trekking trails in the world, which is not for the fraint-hearted, encompassing 3 high mountain passes, the highest being 4,200m (that's 4 times the height of Snowdon and not much less than Mont Blanc). It will be a tough and testing trek with only basic facilities made available to us all.

All monies raised will go towards our main aim, which will be to raise £80,000 for a Family Room Facility within Alder Hey's new state of the art Surgical Neonatal Intensive Care unit (NICU). This much needed Family Room will enable parents and their families to be alongside their poorly new born babies whilst they receive expert care.
