Story
As a child I was always leaping about and running around and spent most of my time on the garden trampoline. Five years ago I had surgery on both of my knees which stopped me in my tracks for a while. Once I'd recovered I joined a Special Olympics football team and a Special Olympics gymnastic club and started doing parkruns with my family.
I've watched my mum run the London marathon and thought I'd like to have a go! So when the opportunity came up I decided to enter - And I got a place!!
I know the training will be hard and that I have to go out in all weathers, but my mum and my music really help to motivate me.
I'd like to raise funds for Stepping Stones DS who have introduced me to and enabled me to enjoy many activities ever since I was a baby. And for Special Olympics GB who have set up many sporting groups, where I can play competitive sports. I'd like to say thank you to both of these charities as they have enabled me to meet lots of friends and have an active social life.
