Story
A team of colleagues from Mace Consult within the Defence Business Unit will be undertaking a physically demanding challenge organised by Women Empowering Defence (WED). WED is a professional network committed to supporting and championing women across the defence sector. The organisation was founded by colleagues Natalie Maddox‑Hussain and Jodie Evans, whose leadership continues to drive initiatives that promote equality, collaboration and positive change across the industry.
As part of this initiative, Team Mace will be raising funds in support of Killed Women, one of WED’s nominated charities within its Violence Against Women and Girls community programme.
Killed Women is a UK-based organisation and support network formed by families who have lost loved ones to fatal violence perpetrated by men. The charity works to support bereaved families, advocate for justice, and campaign for systemic change to better protect women and girls. Through awareness, advocacy and engagement with policymakers and institutions, the organisation seeks to ensure that the voices of victims and their families are heard, while contributing to long-term efforts aimed at preventing violence and safeguarding future generations.
By participating in this challenge and fundraising initiative, colleagues aim to support this important cause, raise awareness of violence against women and girls, and contribute to the wider work being undertaken to protect women’s lives and strengthen justice and prevention across the UK.
