The past year has been difficult for many, so were aiming to reach as many people experiencing loss as possible. We want to take away some of the tough things that come with losing a loved one, so that families can focus on the most important - love.

Story

We are a team of club members from Bracken Ghyll Golf Club in Addingham, near Ilkley. We have a good mix of members ranging from 65 years to 20 years old for this event. Two older guys, four younger ones and two lady members will be taking on a 72 hole challenge on Wednesday 28th June. Some of us have done this before, some have not, but we are all looking forward to a challenging day to raise funds for the Sue Ryder 'Manorlands' hospice in Keighley. It will be great fun!

Many charities are struggling in todays financial climate, so we want to do our bit for our club captains chosen charity for 2023.

All donations will be greatly received and appreciated, no matter how big or small. Everything counts, so we would all like to thank you in advance of your contribution.

THE DAYS EVENT......

The fundraising day started at 4:30am hrs and the final putt went in the hole on the 18th after four rounds at 7:10pm, 14 hour and 40 minutes after starting. What a fantastic day we all had despite getting wet in some heavy rain early on and numerous showers throughout the day.

The team photo was taken just before the start, all looking resplendent in HOT PINK polo shirts. It had the desired effect and stood out even in the gloom of the day. A proper team. Well done all and we currently have raised over £2000 for 'Manorlands'.
