We provide care at the hospice and at home to children in the Thames Valley region

Story

We have a team of 5 running the London Marathon 2020 and raising money for Helen & Douglas House Children's Hospice, in memory of Marianne West. She died at 13 weeks from Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1 - spending her last 13 days in Helen House.

Martin West, Marianne's Dad is doing his first ever marathon! Martyn Banham is doing his second marathon and they are mostly training together through the long winter months and are hoping to cross the start and finish lines together.

Rachel and Simon Piper, and Dawn Osborne are kindly running their good for age places in memory of Marianne. They have completed multiple marathons and are seasoned runners so lend some much needed experience to the team.

Martin & Verity, Marianne's Mum & Dad, have been turning their efforts to raising money for Helen House, so that other families can use this excellent service.

The focus of the team is to raise awareness of Helen House and their work and to help and support each other through the hours of training to get to the start line.

Please help and donate what you can. You can choose the Team member from the list to sponsor. Thank you all for your kind donations. Go Team Marianne!!
