The Mencap Marvels are swimming in relay in 2023, doing it tough for 1 day in service of others who do it tough for their whole lives. They are swimming 1 hr each at a time, in skins (no wetsuit), standard swimsuit, goggles & swim cap. They will swim through the night and whatever weather conditions are thrown at us. They will do this as Mencap supports so many children, families and adults. Swimming for Mencap is a special privilege as swimming is an activity that can be shared and enjoyed by all our community.

There are 2 squads, 1 of school children from from Beech Hall School at Tytherington and 1 a group comprising Stu Crouch, Graham Miller, Mike Ruck, Nick Doaz, Claire Twitchin, Liz Borbon, Jo Payne, Cory Reynolds, Tony Wrighton and Sahishnu Jadhav.

Mencap Marvels will, once again, be attempting to battle the waves and the jellyfish to swim to France. They are training hard in pools and cold water to prepare themselves for the challenge ahead.
