Life works a bit like a river. Sometimes it's smooth going and sometimes you have to deal with twist, turns, and massive rocks trying to tip you over.

The Message Trust and Respect ME work with young people up and down the country trying to help them navigate some of the choices that affect how easy it is to avoid some of the big rocks life can throw at us (like relationships, self-harm, substance abuse, or exploitation).

The 3 of us (Sam, Adam & Ted) are launching ourselves down the Mersey in kayaks to try and raise money for the amazing work of the Message. 2/3 of us have barely sat in a kayak before, and based on our training so far, there's likely to be a capsize or two at some point! Please encourage us by giving generously, and if you help us get over the target, we'll add an extra few miles to boot!

The Community Grocery - bridging the gap between foodbanks and supermarkets, providing affordable food and wrap-around support and courses for our members.

No More Knives - equipping young people to say ‘no’ to knives and discover their full value, working in partnership with local churches and the police.

Message in Prisons - providing regular, long-term, accredited education courses alongside friendship and care to men, women and teenagers in prisons across the UK.
