NUAFSC challenge in aid of Veterans at Ease

Raising money for Veterans at Ease

Veterans at Ease is a registered charity with a social enterprise dedicated to supporting veterans, service leavers, reservists, and their families. Established in 2010, our mission is to help individuals overcome the debilitating effects of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, and other mental health struggles resulting from their military service. We provide free, professional, and confidential psychotherapy and support, helping beneficiaries process past trauma, manage symptoms, and successfully transition back into sustainable civilian life. Our therapeutic approach focuses on lasting personal empowerment, enabling individuals to break social isolation and restore their sense of self-worth. As a sustainable charity, our core therapy services are actively supported by income-generating community initiatives, including our regional charity shops. Your vital fundraising directly funds life-changing therapy sessions, ensuring that those who served can find peace, resilience, and a fresh start.

Story

On 25 June 2026, a dedicated group of us will be undertaking the Hadrian's Wall Walk, a personal challenge to raise funds for Veterans at Ease, a vital North East mental health charity. This cause is close to our hearts as it supports those who have bravely served our country and now face mental health struggles.

Veterans at Ease provides essential care and support to help veterans regain their well-being and lead fulfilling lives. The need for such services is urgent and ongoing, as many veterans continue to battle invisible wounds long after their service has ended.

We humbly ask you to join us in making a difference by donating what you can towards our target of £1,000. Your generosity will directly contribute to the invaluable work of Veterans at Ease, offering hope and healing to those who fought for us. Together, we can show our gratitude and stand beside our veterans in their time of need.
