We are karateka from Oxford Karate Academy and Oxon Karate Club undertaking an Extreme Abseil in memory of Shihan Paul Coleman, who passed away in Katharine House on 31 August 2023. I have never abseiled before and frankly don’t like heights (AT ALL) but THAT Joe Bennett tells me he has abseiled before and is an expert (so I'm totally relying on him!). Others are sadly busy on this day (nothing to do with the height of the tower!) but continue to support us in this frankly insane venture. We will also be supported by our long-suffering friends and family as well as our extended karate family. We hope to raise a good amount for Katharine House to thank them for looking after Shihan.
