Raising money for Anthony Nolan and Vetlife

Story

On the 2nd October 2021 team 'The Overlanding Ambulance' (comprising Lawrence Dodi, Rachel Nixon and Peggy Sue the travel spaniel) left home in Liverpool, England to complete a drive of over 100,000 kilometres to get back home again.

The journey will be in 'Amber' a Land Rover Defender Ambulance that has been converted into an expedition vehicle. In doing so we hope to gain the Guinness World Record for the 'longest journey in an ambulance'.

Due to the closure of land borders still in place following the COVID pandemic, current political issues and conflicts, our original route has had to change a little.

Currently we are aiming to travel through 50+ countries. The next leg beginning in 2023 will be from Canada to the most southern tip of South America. From there we will put Amber on a boat and sail home.

Follow the expedition's progress via the website (www.overlandingambulance.com) and on Instagram & Facebook (@theoverlandingambulance). Through undertaking this adventure the hope is to raise awareness and money for two charities ... Anthony Nolan and Vet Life to allow them to continue their invaluable work.
