I am raising money for two charities (i) Bees Abroad - relieving poverty through beekeeping, and (ii) Outward Bound Trust - helping young people to defy limitations through learning and adventures in the wild.

My dad has devoted much effort in his life to beekeeping and helping others through it...and in retirement has been closely involved in beekeeping, through Bees Abroad, in some of the least developed countries of the world. Bees Abroad focuses on beekeeping as a means to poverty alleviation. Helping the global health of bee populations is naturally a very important by-product of that work.

I think adventures outdoors are a brilliant tool to help young people develop confidence, teamwork skills, fitness and find a long term passion and the outdoors has played a big part in my life, so I am also raising money for the Outward Bound Trust.
