I am raising money for The Electrical Industries Charity (EIC) & The Butterwick Hospice

This is my 5th year now competing in this event

Lakes in a day is a tough 54 mile Ultra Mountain Marathon from the very top of the Lake District at Caldbeck, to the very bottom of the lakes at Cartmel taking in the well known mountain peaks along the way

54 Miles, 4000m+ ascent...all in under 24 hours

The Electrical Industries Charity (EIC) exists to look after people from the electrical, electronics and energy industries when they or their families need a hand up – big or small. We know that regardless of age or circumstances, people encounter:

Family or relationship problems, Financial or legal worries, Emotional or mental health problems, Ill health or disability.

The pressure can become overwhelming and the impact can be devastating for the individual and their family. The Electrical Industries Charity is here to help, providing the practical support people need to get back on their feet.

I lost my Mum on the 18th August 2025 and The Butterwick Hospice was incredibly supportive in the darkest of times. The staff are amazing and it will be great to support the superb work they do every day.

The charities will receive 50/50 linked donations in 2026 with this challenge
