Story
The Plymouth University team taking on the London to Paris cycle challenge for Marie Curie.
We are cycling 280km in July 2022 from Greenwich Park, to the foot of the Eiffel Tower, in just 3 days to raise money for Marie Curie - a charity that supports individuals and their families who are going through terminal illnesses.
We appreciate any donations we receive to support us in completing this challenge no matter how big and small. Your support means the world to all of us in the team.
What do Marie Curie do?
Marie Curie was established the same year the NHS was. It provides care and support to people with terminal illnesses and their families. They provide this care and support through information, nurses, hospice care, and helper volunteers.
What your donations can do:
- £24 pays for a call to their support line, meaning someone can receive practical information and emotional support.
- £90 pays for half an evenings care in a person's home.
- £180 pays for nine hours of nursing support in someone's home throughout the night.
