Story
When our own Stanley broke their leg and ended up in a wheelchair during Covid, it became clear how traditional wheelchairs really are useless in many environments—from sandy beaches to mountain trails, and even on ordinary pavements.
That was for 6 weeks, but for a lot of young people it is a permanent situation.
Over 75,000 young people in the UK need to use a wheelchair to be mobile. Unfortunately, they cannot access the equipment that meets their needs through local services. Whizz Kidz are here for all of them.
Whizz Kidz is the UK’s leading charity supporting young wheelchair users up to 25 years old. They empower young wheelchair users with the equipment, support, and confidence-building experiences they need to take an active role in society. The Whizz Kidz goal is to create a movement for progress towards a more open and accessible world.
Jack and Isabel - 18 year old twins - and mum Melanie are running the London marathon in support of Whizz Kidz, to help them do this important work.
Join us in this mission! Your support can help provide essential resources and opportunities for these incredible young individuals. Together, we can make a difference!
