Story
Sue, our beloved Chair, was a remarkable woman who wore many hats with grace and enthusiasm.
As a mother, she nurtured and inspired her children, instilling in them the same adventurous spirit that defined her life.
Sue was a passionate Rambler, cyclist, and horse rider, always eager to explore the great outdoors. Her love for adventure didn’t stop there; through her dedicated youth work she inspired countless youngsters, especially girls, to embrace challenges like rock climbing, camping, and orienteering. She not only participated in these activities but also encouraged others to push their limits and discover their potential.
In addition to her adventurous pursuits, Sue was a talented baker, known for her delicious cakes that brought joy to many. She had a keen mind for puzzles and quizzes, always striving to win and enjoying the thrill of competition. Her love for reading spanned both fact and fiction, and she could often be found with a book in hand, lost in another world.
Sue’s skills didn’t end there; she was also adept at knitting and sewing, creating beautiful pieces with her hands. Truly, she excelled at everything she tried, leaving a legacy of excellence and passion in all her endeavours.
Sue greeted everyone with a warm welcome, her heart expanded to fit everyone, and her smile was the universal language of acceptance.
Sue’s spirit, kindness, and determination will be deeply missed, but her legacy will continue to inspire us all.
Sue, you have left a trail of love for us all to follow.
