The Research Department are running The Great Birmingham Run for Caring Minds, the charity of Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust because we share their vision of improving mental health wellbeing.

Research plays a crucial role in expanding knowledge, developing ways to better healthcare and making informed decisions on treatment. Our trust has a dedicated Research and Development team to support staff/carers and service users to produce and engage with research.

The trust also has a strong regional, national and international reputation for research including in the areas of youth mental health services, early intervention services, Huntington’s disease, dementia and addictions.

We hope to come together as a department to raise money and awareness for The Caring Minds Charity – they are a great asset to the trust!
