Raising money for Brain Tumour Research

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

Brain tumours are the leading cause of cancer death in children, and in adults under 40. Yet less than 1% of national cancer funding goes towards brain tumour research.

Simon Oldacres died of brain cancer in December 2016 at the age of 37. He was a wonderful man, and we miss him more than words can say. Dear friends have also lost children, fathers, mothers, siblings and friends to this awful disease, and we want to do all we can to stop this suffering.

In the last five years - starting with a fundraising cycle by Simon and friends - we have raised over £50,000 for Brain Tumour Research.

2020 is Ride4Simon's fourth year of cycling and with coronavirus our plans have been deferred, but please donate to the wonderful efforts of our team members. Particularly in this strange year we are having the funding of research can not stop but it needs the sponsorship of individuals.

We’re now an official Brain Tumour Research fundraising team committed to raising at least £5k this year - more we hope.

Let’s raise all we can this year to help stop the pain.
