Raising money for Pancreatic Cancer UK
In memory of Aidan Batchelor

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

Our friend and colleague Aidan succumbed to this horrible disease in 2024 and died not long after his diagnosis.

This is a cruel and aggressive cancer and often is not discovered until it's too late.

Aidan loved cycling and often did charity events on his bike. We want to honour his memory with cycling events in his name. Some of us will be cycling from his home city of Sheffield to Birmingham and back to raise funds for the charity that helps support people with this type of cancer. With a support team made up of Aidan's wife and sister and other friends and colleagues from work, we will complete this 170mile challenge.

We are also running a spin-a-thon challenge in the gym for anyone who can't make the cycle challenge. They are also raising funds for this charity.

These events will help raise awareness and funds to combat this awful disease.

We are Pancreatic Cancer UK.

We go above and beyond for everyone affected by this disease. Right now, half of people with pancreatic cancer die within three months of diagnosis. Families are left with only hope to hold onto. They need more. So, we do more.

We bring more breakthroughs through research, more change through campaigning, and more support through our expert nurses. We make more noise because people have gone unheard. We are relentless because the disease is ruthless. We care more because people feel forgotten.
