Story
We have all signed up for virtual distance challenges this year to keep us active throughout the year, and for some extra motivation, we thought we would let everyone know our targets and ask you to donate to some great charities to make sure we can't give up!
Chris, Terry and Elena are aiming to walk or run the distance from Land‘s End to John O’Groats (874 miles) in 12 months from 1st Jan this year.
Tom’s challenge is 2278 miles virtually along Route 66 in the US from Chicago to LA. He is also aiming to complete this in 12 months, hoping to run it all.
We have picked three charities to contribute to:
East Anglia Children's Hospices, do crucial work, both in their centres and with their outreach services, supporting children and their families at incredibly difficult times in their lives.
The Circles Network supports and advocates for people with disabilities in many different ways, and has made a huge difference to many lives.
The Alzheimer's Society supports people and families affected by dementia and contributes to funding vital research into this awful condition. This one is close to all our hearts as we all have had close family affected by dementia and seen its effects close up.
