#TeamAorta - helping save lives by funding advances in aortic dissection patient care through research.

Story

Sadly, our father suffered from an Aortic Dissection whilst playing sport and he died suddenly in Oct 2021. It was a shocking time for the whole family, considering our father seemingly had no underlining or related health conditions. Consequently, we set out to learn more about the condition and contacted the connected charity (Aortic Dissection Charitable Trust) and was surprised to discover that over 2000 people of all ages die in the UK from this serious condition each year, and if correctly diagnosed, 10 lives a week could be saved!

The Aortic Dissection Charitable Trust is a UK and Ireland based charity uniting patients, families and the medical community in a shared goal of improving diagnosis, increasing survival and reducing disability due to aortic dissection.

Ant and Chris have a place on the Charity running team and will be taking part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon in April to raise money for the Trust and ultimately to heighten awareness of the condition across the UK

Please Help us to raise the funds for this amazing cause and to reach our goal of £700
