Story
In October, the four of us — Anna, Hannah, Adam and Sam — will be taking on the Royal Parks Half Marathon.
We’re running for Hannah, Adam & Sam’s Dad Nigel, who was diagnosed with prostate cancer not long ago. Like so many families, ours was turned upside down by the news. Dad has shown incredible strength, and we wanted to do something positive in the face of it — something that supports him and helps others going through the same thing.
We’re running on behalf of Prostate Cancer UK, an amazing charity that works tirelessly to stop prostate cancer being a life-threatening disease. They fund vital research, campaign for better diagnosis and treatment, and provide practical support and information for men and their families at every stage — from early concerns to life after treatment.
Prostate cancer is now the most commonly diagnosed cancer in men in the UK, and yet so many people are still unaware of the risks or unsure where to turn for help. Prostate Cancer UK is changing that.
Every donation, big or small, helps fund research, supports families like ours, and brings us closer to a future where dads, partners, brothers and friends can live longer, healthier lives.
Thank you so much for supporting us — we’ll be thinking of Dad, and of everyone affected by prostate cancer, every step of the 13.1 miles. 💙🏃♂️🏃♀️
