Our Mission:

We're a diverse group of 8 individuals, 7 inspiring women and 1 determined man, united by our passion for adventure and our commitment to making a difference. We've come together to form Scouting for Sun, two teams of 4 dedicated to supporting Action Medical Research

Race the Sun 2025:

On June 21st, 2025, we'll embark on the incredible Race the Sun challenge. This exhilarating event takes us through the stunning landscapes of the Welsh Brecon Beacons, where we'll conquer a thrilling combination of hiking, biking, and kayaking.

Why Action Medical Research

Action Medical Research is the leading UK-wide charity saving and changing children’s lives through medical research. For 65 years we’ve helped pioneer ways to prevent disease and develop treatments benefiting millions of people. Our research has helped to beat polio in the UK, develop ultrasound, fight meningitis and prevent stillbirths. But we urgently need to develop more new treatments and cures for sick babies and children and we can’t do it without you.

Our team members hail from various corners of the country, including Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Leicestershire and Devon. Despite the distance, we're united by our shared goal and unwavering determination.
