Help Us Reach the World Scout Jamboree 2027!
Please support Alex, Ash, Bella, Georgina, Hania, Polly & Rhys — the Sittingbourne & Sheppey District UK Contingent — as we work towards attending the 26th World Scout Jamboree (WSJ) in Poland in 2027.
🌍What Is the World Scout Jamboree?
From 30 July to 8 August 2027, over 30,000 Scouts aged 14–17 will gather in Gdańsk, on the beautiful island of Wyspa Sobieszewska, for one of the largest youth events on the planet. Scouts from 226 countries and territories will come together to learn, explore, and build friendships that cross borders and cultures.
The Jamboree theme — “Bravely” — encourages young people to step outside their comfort zones, embrace new challenges, and take bold steps toward shaping a better world. It’s a once‑in‑a‑lifetime opportunity that none of us will ever be able to experience again.
✨ Why It Matters
The World Scout Jamboree is more than just a camp — it’s a global classroom. Participants join in leadership and teamwork workshops, outdoor adventures, skill‑building activities, environmental and community service projects, and cultural exchanges with Scouts from around the world. These experiences help young people build confidence, resilience, and global awareness, while creating lifelong friendships and developing skills that shape their futures.
💬 What It Means for Us
Being chosen to represent Sittingbourne & Sheppey is an amazing honour for all of us. We are proud to have this opportunity to see ourselves differently — to realise that we can be brave, that we can make a difference, and that we can bring those lessons back to our community.
We will face many challenges along the way, including raising the funds to participate in this event. We will relish the chance to meet new people from other cultures and learn how much we all have in common. We can't wait to try new activities, take on leadership roles, and learn new skills that will stay with us for life. This experience will shape who we become as young adults, and it’s something we’ll carry with us long after the tents are packed away.
Your support helps make that personal journey possible.
💛 How You Can Help
We each need to raise funds for travel to and from Poland, camping and activity gear, training camps, preparation events, and participation fees.
What’s even better is that part of every UK participant’s fee helps Scouts from less‑resourced countries take part too, keeping the Jamboree inclusive and truly global. Your support doesn’t just help us — it helps young people all over the world share in this life‑changing experience.
Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to representing our community on the world stage.
Thank you for helping us take this brave step toward an unforgettable adventure.
