Story

We’ve got some exciting news! Skills Holidays are proud to announce we have chosen Our Dementia Choir as our Charity of the Year for 2026/27, and are now recognised as the charity’s Official Travel Provider. As a local Nottingham business, we are helping the Choir raise vital awareness and funds to support people living with dementia and their families across our community, including donating 35p for every passenger travelling over the next year.

“The Skills Team are delighted to have supported Our Dementia Choir with transport for a number of years, and we are proud to now formally strengthen our support. This partnership is a meaningful way for us to give back while championing the incredible work the choir does. Collaborating with Our Dementia Choir enables us to play a positive role in supporting people living with dementia and their families, while also contributing to the wellbeing of our local community.” - Skills Holidays

Our Dementia Choir brings people living with dementia, their families, friends and carers together through the power of music. Founded by Nottingham actress Vicky McClure to create connection, joy and understanding, the choir provides a safe and welcoming space where members can build confidence, reduce isolation and enjoy the emotional and social benefits that music can bring.

Throughout the year, we will continue to fundraise for the charity, including entering the Robin Hood Half Marathon, company events and so much more.

Thank you for all your support - The Skills Holidays Team!
