Hi there if you’re reading! I come on behalf of Sheffield Chinese Christian Church (SCCC), and here’s a little backstory to why this page has been set up!

A handful of us from church (across different ages 😎) are taking up the challenge of participating in this year’s Midland’s Spartan event! This Spartan event is a 5km run that involves 20 different obstacles in between, which will test and challenge our abilities in both physical and mental ways, pushing us to do our best in overcoming these given challenges on top of completing our run. We have all begun training together, pushing and encouraging one another to keep up with it as the event gets nearer.

The reason for us participating (on top of trying to get fitter 🤣), is to try and raise funds for our church building renovation project. Sheffield Chinese Christian Church (SCCC) has been a place of bringing together a community that share the same faith in Christ, and it has been a place that allowed so many of us to experience the love of God, through the friendships/relationships made and in so many other ways too. The building itself is very old and is in serious need of renovation, hence a Building Fund project was initiated. We’d like to raise money for SCCC’s building because this building enables the community to gather together to worship and dive into God’s word together. The space provides for people of all ages (children, youths, families, elderlies), and is a place that allows us to grow in our faith as a family in Christ.
