Story

We are taking on the London Marathon 2026 to raise vital funds for Spinal Research!

Spinal cord injuries affect more people than many realise. In the UK, over 105,000 people are now estimated to be living with an SCI, and roughly 4,400–4,700 new injuries occur each year, that’s someone paralysed every two hours. These injuries don’t just affect movement; they often lead to lifelong complications such as chronic pain, loss of bladder and bowel control, autonomic dysfunction, and repeated infections which can reduce quality of life. Many people you know - family members, friends, colleagues, or neighbours may have encountered someone living with these challenges or will in the future.

Spinal Research is the UK’s leading charity funding cutting‑edge research to repair and restore spinal cord function. They do not receive government funding, which means every breakthrough depends on generous supporters like you. Your donation funds projects that could transform lives moving us from managing complications toward meaningful recovery.

Our team goal is to raise £3,600, and every contribution brings us closer to a future where paralysis doesn’t have to define a life.

Please support us in this mission and together, we can #CureParalysis.
