Abed Ahmed - My name is Abed Ahmed (Twitter: @stammer_teacher) and this is my first time running. I have also just noticed that the run is 5 days after Ramadan finishes (31st May) so it's going to be a struggle, but these things aren't meant to be easy! Please help me raise money for a charity close to my heart, The British Stammering Association (STAMMA).

Rebekah Foulkes - Hi, my name is Rebekah (Twitter : @rebekah1086) I’m a student Speech and language therapist. I have run for charity almost every year since 2007 ranging from 5k to half marathon, I love the challenge and its important to me that I run for causes close to my heart. The British Stammering Association (STAMMA) do amazing work for people who stammer and I’m excited to be part of the team raising funds and awareness for them this year.

Ross McWalter - Hi, I'm Ross. I've had a stammer since I was a child and it's what inspired me to go on and help as many people as I can by training to be a Speech and Language Therapist ! I love to run in my spare time anyway so doing it for a good cause is even more rewarding. Thank you for your donations!

Gillian Rudd - #HelloMyNameIs Gillian (Twitter: @GillianRudd) and I'm a Speech and Language Therapist. I'm also a Trustee for the brilliant BSA (Stamma) who are doing amazing work to make the world a better place for children and adults who stammer. I have a long history of being rubbish at running but believe in the importance of expanding my comfort zones.

The Great Birmingham 10k

This year's Great Birmingham 10k will be staged on an exciting new course incorporating the historic heart of Birmingham and world-famous heritage sites, starting near the much-loved Hippodrome theatre in Southside. Runners will be taken through the Jewellery Quarter and past the Mailbox before it reaches its grandstand finish at Victoria Square and Colmore Row.
