On retirement I wanted to do something meaningful and life-saving to aid people in Ukraine struggling since having been invaded. I joined Stockbridge Ukraine, an active group of fundraisers who have sent medical supplies, generators and much more to Ukraine. I subsequently became involved with pickups for Peace (P4P) who provide the framework for getting pickups safely out there.

With some money from our group we bought a pickup from P4P and loaded it with medical supplies and other useful equipment, and drove on the convoy to Ukraine with 37 other vehicles in August 2024.

I repeated this journey with another P4P vehicle in September but was unable to go again until now. Stockbridge Ukraine are currently making a concerted effort to raise the money for another pickup this May. We have not got long, but Ukraine needs everything we can send them as soon as possible given the pace of change in geopolitics in this area .

I hope you will be able to help us raise this money to give a life-saving vehicle providing casualty evacuation, movement of aid and equipment around the most dangerous areas of Ukraine to support these brave, exhausted people. Please donate as generously as you are able. Nothing will be wasted.
