I am attempting to raise funds for Ilfracombe RNLI & Holy Trinity Church in Ilfracombe by swimming the distance (23 miles) between Ilfracombe and Lundy Island in stages over 5-6 weeks. This will be completed partly in the sea and partly in the local pool. If I was to do the whole distance in the pool it would be 1,472 lengths and if I was to swim to Lundy for real I would definitely need the RNLI as the currents are very dangerous! (I am not that fit anyway!)
