On June 8th 2025, we lost an incredible woman - the absolute heart of our family and an outstanding force for good. Lynda was diagnosed with primary breast cancer in 2009, and then with metastatic breast cancer in 2017. She bravely carried the weight of this disease with strength and determination to fight for as long as possible - a fight supported by the vital staff and facilities provided at Velindre Cancer Centre.

Throughout her journey, Lynda campaigned for more awareness of metatstatic cancer in the UK, she joined and fundraised with support groups and offered her shoulder to others on the same journey.

This year, on September 14th 2025, we - Lynda's family - will run the Castle 2 Castle 10.5 mile fun run in honour of Lynda. This fantastic event brings us together to raise essential funds needed to continue the work at Velindre, supporting those who need this care the most.

We would be thrilled to meet our fundraising target of £350 (or more), and continue the legacy of support and giving that Lynda leaves with us.

We are so grateful for the beautiful life we have shared with Lynda, who was a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter and nanny. She never stopped caring for us all, and that love will continue on in our hearts always.
