Story

Velindre Cancer Charity's beloved Castle 2 Castle fun run is back!

This is one of South Wales’ most cherished running events—a scenic 10.5-mile journey between two of the region’s most iconic landmarks, Caerphilly Castle and Cardiff Castle. Over the past 11 years, this beloved fun run has brought communities together while raising vital funds for Velindre, helping the Hospital of Hope continue its incredible work in supporting patients and their families across Wales.

The difference you make…

Here at Velindre Cancer Charity, we are proud to support the life-changing work of Velindre Cancer Services. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, fundraisers and supporters, we are investing in impactful projects and services that go beyond NHS funding.

As the Hospital of Hope, our staff are at the heart of what we do. Your support allows us to invest in their growth, providing opportunities, specialist roles and innovative projects that drive excel-lence in cancer care. By funding research roles, professorships and study opportunities, we equip our staff with the latest techniques to lead ground-breaking research and service im-provements that directly benefit patients. Together, we are empowering Velindre’s staff to be-come future leaders in cancer care and ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients and their families.
