**UPDATE**

They did it!!! Lara and Amy donated 12 inches of hair each yesterday afternoon. They are thrilled with their new "do's" and even more thrilled that, thanks to your outstanding generosity, they have already raised more than £4,000 for The Little Princess Trust and The Royal Marsden. Just fantastic!! Thank you all!!!

In recognition of six years since Lara finished treatment, Lara, and her lifelong friend Amy have each decided to donate 12 to 16 inches of their beautiful hair to The Little Princess Trust, which provides free, real-hair wigs to young cancer patients to help restore their confidence and identity.

The girls are raising money for both The Little Princess Trust and The Royal Marsden.

Lara and Amy would like the first £550 raised to go to The Little Princess Trust to pay for a full wig to be made and fitted. If they are fortunate enough to raise monies above and beyond this sum, they would like them to be donated to The Royal Marsden. The Royal Marsden is very close to Lara's family's hearts as she was treated at their Sutton hospital and still visits for long term reviews. It is a wonderful, caring institution with some of the world's finest doctors and nurses and Lara was extremely fortunate to be under their care. We are all hugely grateful to The Royal Marsden.
