Story

I had planned to run the London Marathon in April to mark 10 years since I last ran it, however I have since picked up an injury, can't run the longer distances and have had to withdraw. My brother-in-law Scott, is running and continuing the fundraising to support the Scottish region of the DSAuk, a charity who provide support and opportunities for people with dwarfism, making members feel valued and that they can achieve anything in life.

I plan to (hopefully!) run at least one half marathon instead of the marathon, and keep the fundraising going.

This charity means a lot to me and the family, as my son Callum has Achondroplasia. Callum has benefitted so much from the events they have organised, as have my husband Simon and I, so we want to help raise funds to allow them to continue to deliver quality sporting and social events for people to enjoy.

DSAuk believe it is important that all people with dwarfism, young and old, can meet up regularly with their friends who have the same condition and talk to other people and families who can offer advice and support which often leads to the forming of lifelong friendships.

The mission of the DSAuk is to make regular sporting opportunity accessible and enjoyable to anyone and everyone with dwarfism in the United Kingdom, regardless of their race, colour, ethnic origin, gender, location, sporting ability or financial support.
