SCCCC has been supporting isolated, older people in Sheffield since 1966. They are an award-winning charity where an army of volunteers provides befriending services, visiting a vulnerable, lonely person for an hour a week to help combat loneliness. They need funding to continually recruit and train volunteers across the city. This service is free to older people, we don't believe anyone should pay for a friend.
