The is the team page for Kevin and Lisa Carhart. Over the years we have both either seen or experienced the effects of this cruel, indiscriminate disease.

I (Kevin) have benefitted from the work that MacMillan do directly by being supported from initial diagnosis of Prostate Cancer in 2019, through Chemo and Radiotherapy and ongoing lifelong hormone therapy.

In 2021 myself and my great friend Esther Meek took part in this event however due to the heat on the day (over 33 degrees), the full distance was impossible for us to cover.

We were keen that we would take part again to try to complete the full route, however it was not to be as Esther became unwell and passed away in Nov 22 as a result of breast cancer.

My niece, Lisa Carhart, has taken up the challenge and has pulled on her 1000 mile socks and tough boots to join "TeamKikAss - The Sequel".

We are taking part in the Northumberland Mighty Hike Half Marathon on the 15 July 2023 walking approx. 13 miles between Alnwick and Craster along some amazing coastline on hopefully a much cooler day than 2021!!

Please give what you can to allow MacMillan to continue to do their important work to support people living with Cancer, so they are in the best position possible to KICK CANCERS ASS!!!
