Hi I'm Nic and on Saturday 10th October myself and this wonderful group of ladies are taking on Tough Mudder Manchester to raise as much money as possible for the fantastic Owen Mcveigh Foundation, a charity that means so much to me and my family ❤️

In April 2023, our daughter Sophia was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia at just 2 years old. Our world was turned upside down as she began an intensive 25 month treatment journey at Alder Hey Hospital.

A few months into Sophia’s treatment, we were introduced to the Owen McVeigh Foundation. During one of the most difficult periods of our lives, they provided our family with support, kindness and moments of joy when we needed them most. The incredible work they do brings smiles, creates precious memories and offers much-needed support to families facing childhood cancer.

They have also built an incredible community, connecting families who understand the challenges of childhood cancer and providing support when it is needed most.

I am so grateful to say that Sophia has now finished her treatment and is living life to the fullest. Watching her strength and resilience throughout her journey has been truly inspiring.

Taking on Tough Mudder Manchester is my way of giving something back to a charity that gave so much to us. By raising money for the Owen McVeigh Foundation, I hope to help them continue supporting other children and families going through similar experiences.
