Story
Tower lifeboat volunteer crew members Jai Gudgion, Al Kassim and Stephen Wheatley will be taking part in the Tower Run on 22nd October in their full Search and Rescue kit (pictured) to help to raise money for the replacement Tower Lifeboat Station.
The Tower Run takes place in the Bishopsgate Tower and requires Jai, Al and Steve to climb 1,120 steps (62 floors!) to the top of the tallest building in the City of London, a challenge made substantially more difficult as they will each be wearing 9 Kgs of kit.
Tower Lifeboat Station is the busiest lifeboat station in the UK, responding to around 600 service calls each year. Originally constructed in the 1860 its facilities are no longer fit for purpose, its your support that will make all the difference.
Every pound and penny raised in this appeal will go towards building the new Tower Lifeboat Station, a crucial asset that will allow us to carry on our lifesaving mission.
By donating you'll help us to reach our target and will be making a valuable contribution to The City of London by providing modern facilities for our lifeboats, crews and casualties - positively impacting thousands of people and helping save hundreds of lives for decades to come.
Thank you for your support in advance.
Best wishes,
Jai, Al, Martin & Steve
