Story
We're getting behind Terry as he heads off to the Congo to impact thousands of lives. He'll be joining a small team holding seminars in two adjoining countries to train key leaders from multiple cities. They will be trained in how to set up and run extension training schools, focused on pastoral ministry and holistic community transformation.
The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is the second-poorest country in the world. "In 2018, it was estimated that 73% of the Congolese population, equaling 60 million people, lived on less than $1.90 a day (the international poverty rate). As such, almost 14% — or one out of six people living in extreme poverty in Sub-Saharan Africa — live in DRC" (World Bank, 2021).
The curriculum being used has already transformed hundreds of communities across Africa, bringing people to faith in Christ, while at the same time helping them overcome sickness and poverty. The lives of thousands of children have been changed through this program.
