Our Family's Journey: Walking Together to Fight Cancer

Cancer has deeply touched myself and other members of my family. We are not alone. There are over 200 different cancers which are, or will, affect many other families. And, like me, those families will need help and support.

Since my recovery from Advanced Stage 4 Prostate Cancer I have taken up walking to regain strength and stay healthy and active and have already completed 3 long-distance charity walks to try and give back to those that helped me. This includes a formidable 50km trek over the Kent Downs at the ripe old age of 69!

My next walk is the 25th January London Winter Walk 42km on which I will be joined by my eldest son and his partner and my youngest son (we will be raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support) and my daughter (raising money for Ronald McDonald House in memory of a beautiful boy named Max).
